ACE dance and music feature in Birmingham Mail’s carnival coverage

ACE Youth member Anike takes centre stage in the Birmingham Mail’s coverage of Birmingham Carnival 2013, as she shows off the beautiful costumes we hired from our friends at Coventry based Imagineer

See Anike in the Mail’s article all about this biennial celebration here:

ACE dance and music had the largest troupe at this year’s carnival, which took place last Sunday 4th. The participants from our children’s Carnival Summer School, Adults’ Soca Aerobics Class and ACE Youth, showed off the Caribbean dances they’d been learning with us over the past few weeks. They were also joined by Eternity from Amsterdam, who led our troupe with live marching percussion. Again photographer Graeme Braidwood was on hand to capture all the activity, including our dress rehearsal at mac on Saturday 3rd. We have so many beautiful images (thanks Graeme!) but here give you a selection of our favourites.
